Yesterday, July 8th, President David Hickman kicked off the 2026-2027 Rotary year with a bang. David outlined his vision for the year which included 5 pillars to strengthen the Kings Bay-Crystal River club and deepen its impact. In addition, David recognized several Rotarians for their accomplishments.
Dr. Stan Groff, 2025-2026 president, was presented a plaque recognizing his presidency and accomplishments.
Honoree member Phil Noll was presented an award recognizing his 23 years as the Kings Bay-Crystal River Rotary club Sergeant-at-Arms.
Doug Lobel was presented a Paul Harris +4 for his decades of “Service Above Self” for Rotary and other community efforts, including:
– Executive Director – Thanksgiving Feeding Alliance
– Board Member and Past Chairman – Salvation Army of Citrus County
– Board Member – Citrus Memorial Hospital
– Board Member – YMCA of Citrus County
– Former Executive Director of Inverness Olde Town Association
In addition, Nichelle Mohre-Cassidy of YaYAS of Citrus, led an amazing discussion about the services YaYAS provides and their opportunities for growth. More on this in a future post.
