Thank you Lyndsay Morrow for speaking with us last Wednesday (1/31/2024).

Lyndsay gave us an introduction of Jessie’s Place for any new Rotarians or guests who are not familiar with our mission and history. Focusing on the progress they have made in the past year, their current areas of growth and new offerings, and their current challenges.

Lyndsay is a Community Outreach Advocate at Jessie’s Place, where she has been for the past year. Originally from Atlanta, she has always had a commitment to organizations whose mission revolves around supporting youth. She served on an organizational board of a youth led nonprofit, JustUS ATL throughout high school. She also has a passion for travel and cultural exchange. She participated in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program, a State Department sponsored exchange program to Germany. Shortly thereafter, Lyndsay had the opportunity to travel to Lithuania with a Rotary Club chapter in her hometown of Decatur, GA, where she volunteered at a summer camp for children who had experienced trauma. After completing her bachelor’s degree in social sciences at Sciences Po in France, she returned to the US and spent most of her time volunteering for and interning at various nonprofits. Lyndsay is grateful to have found Jessie’s Place where she spends most of her days in Citrus County elementary and middle schools talking to kids about safety.
