Thank you, William Christie, Family Support Specialist with the Family Resource Center of Citrus County, for speaking to our club this past Wednesday (4/22).

The mission at the Family Resource Center of Citrus County is to strengthen families by building welcoming, inclusive support networks that help children grow and thrive. The agency is dedicated to connecting families with practical resources, compassionate guidance, and advocates for access to essential services—healthy foods, safe housing, quality childcare, healthcare, and educational opportunities—so every child has a fair start and a supportive foundation at home and in the community.

To put that mission into action, they offer a broad range of services designed to meet families where they are. Their team provides resource navigation and case management, parent education and workshops, early childhood development activities, and referrals to community partners for healthcare, food, housing, and mental health support. They also host family events, support groups, and information sessions, plus assistance with applying for benefits, connecting with childcare options, and accessing crisis intervention when needed. They also have a robust clothing stock of quality garments and a well-stocked food pantry.

The Kings Bay Rotary Charitable Foundation presented them with a check from for their good work.
