Earnie is the Supervisor of the Marine Science Station, a Citrus County School District educational field experience facility that was established in 1967. Having lived in Crystal River for the past 46 years, Earnie attended Crystal River Primary School, Crystal River Middle School, and Crystal River High School and visited the Marine Science Station numerous times as a student. As a result of the impact the Marine Science Station had on him, his love of ocean life led him along a career path in marine biology and educational leadership. Over the past 20 years Earnie has been a Citrus County School District educator leading thousands of students who visit the Marine Science Station every year into our local coastal waterways. He resides in Crystal River with his wife, Keri, and their two sons, Michael and Matthew, who all share a love for our coastal community and the waters of Citrus County.
