We were honored to host a fantastic presentation this past Wednesday, December 17th, featuring two dedicated leaders from the College of Central Florida (CF): Sonya Warden and Rory Wells.

CF is much more than just a local college; it is a vital engine for growth in Marion, Citrus, and Levy counties. Our speakers shared how CF is transforming lives through its 170+ academic pathways, ranging from associate and bachelor’s degrees to high-demand workforce certificates.

Serving as the Associate Dean of Student Affairs at the Wilton Simpson Citrus Campus, Sonya is a passionate advocate for student success. Her leadership ensures that students have the support, resources, and guidance they need to navigate their educational journeys and achieve their professional dreams.

As the Director of Instructional Services at the Citrus Campus, Rory is at the forefront of academic excellence. She works tirelessly to maintain CF’s high standards of instruction, ensuring that the curriculum remains innovative and responsive to the needs of our local workforce.

Since 1957, the College of Central Florida has grown from a small junior college into a premier institution ranked among the top 150 colleges in the nation for quality by the Aspen Institute. With an impressive 18:1 student-to-faculty ratio, they remain “fully focused on student success.”

Thank you, Sonya and Rory, for sharing the “CF Story” with us and for everything you do to enrich our community!
